Senior Software Development Engineer who brings deep technical expertise, a strong sense of ownership, and a track record of driving meaningful outcomes.
What you'll be doing In this role, you'll play a central part in shaping the direction of critical systems-translating complex designs into scalable, real-world solutions. You'll partner closely with enterprise architects and stakeholders in a fast-moving Agile environment, navigating ambiguity with confidence and clarity. From building core features to mentoring engineers and influencing architecture, you'll be directly involved in the systems that matter most.
Key Responsibilities - Design, develop, and deliver scalable, cloud-native applications using Java, Spring Boot, NodeJS, and modern microservices architectures.
- Collaborate closely with enterprise architects and product stakeholders to translate business priorities into robust technical solutions.
- Manage vendor and partner technical relationships to support integrations, platform stability, and delivery timelines.
- Oversee and manage SLAs, performance metrics, incident resolution, and communication with SaaS providers and other vendors to ensure service quality and alignment with business needs.
- Lead the technical execution of product roadmaps by aligning development efforts with business goals and agile best practices.
- Bring clarity and structure to ambiguous requirements through sound engineering judgment and proactive problem-solving.
- Own critical system components end-to-end, ensuring high performance, reliability, security, and maintainability.
- Mentor and guide engineering teams, elevating technical standards through code reviews, knowledge sharing, and leadership.
- Partner with product management and business teams to manage dependencies, prioritize backlog items, and ensure timely delivery of features.
- Drive continuous improvement in CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, cloud infrastructure, containerization, deployment automation, and system observability to maintain high service levels.
- Participate actively in agile ceremonies, executive meetings, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure alignment, transparency, and delivery of business value.
- Define and track technical metrics that contribute to business value realization and product success.
What You Bring - 12+ years of professional software development experience with strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, NodeJS, REST APIs, microservices, and event-driven architectures.
- Proven experience delivering cloud-native applications on AWS or other major cloud platforms, with hands-on knowledge of containerization (Kubernetes, Docker), CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions), and DevOps tooling.
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or DocumentDB.
- Familiarity with real-time streaming technologies and scalable messaging platforms like Kafka.
- Proficient in monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or CloudWatch.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, with experience working across architecture, engineering, and product teams.
- Demonstrated ability to manage technical dependencies, resource needs, and vendor relationships to support product delivery.
- Experience mentoring engineers and leading technical teams in an Agile environment.
- Ability to influence and drive decision-making across technical and business stakeholders.
Added Bonus If You Have - Experience in FinTech, Captive Finance, Auto Insurance products, or other highly regulated, enterprise-scale environments.
- Exposure to integrating machine learning models or LLM workflows into production systems.
- Experience managing product backlogs, release planning, and collaborating closely with product owners or business stakeholders.
