About the Role
We are partnering with a leading Fortune 500 general merchandise retailer to hire a Data Management Analyst for a hybrid opportunity. This role will support facilities, refrigeration, and energy management programs across a large national footprint of retail locations. The position is hybrid, with two onsite days per week — every Tuesday plus one additional day of choice.
The Data Management Analyst will play a key role in maintaining data accuracy, supporting operational processes, investigating exceptions, and ensuring the effective operation of multiple building and energy management programs. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented analyst to contribute to large-scale operational and sustainability initiatives within a high-impact retail environment.

Job Description
In this role, you will partner with internal teams, offshore resources, and external vendors to support program execution, operational reporting, issue resolution, and continuous process improvement.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Coordinating and executing daily operational activities and special projects across multiple facilities and energy management programs.
  • Monitoring, investigating, and resolving data exceptions, system discrepancies, and operational issues identified through reporting and monitoring tools.
  • Reviewing exception reports and supporting updates to equipment schedules, setpoints, and system records within Building Management Systems (BMS) by following established procedures and documented workflows.
  • Supporting refrigeration and HVAC program operations by maintaining accurate system data and ensuring adherence to established processes.
  • Reviewing and verifying automated system configurations for accuracy and escalating discrepancies when identified.
  • Analyzing operational and program data to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for process improvement.
  • Creating, maintaining, and distributing operational, financial, and ad-hoc reports for business stakeholders.
  • Tracking and reporting key program metrics, including work volumes, program performance, and financial impact.
  • Reviewing contracts, program documentation, and system records to ensure information accuracy and alignment with business requirements.
  • Developing, maintaining, and updating process documentation, standard operating procedures, and reporting methodologies.
  • Collaborating with internal business partners, offshore support teams, and third-party vendors to resolve issues and support ongoing program operations.
  • Communicating findings, trends, risks, and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and actionable manner.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
  • Experience in data management, business operations, reporting, analytics, or process-oriented operational support roles.
  • Experience creating, maintaining, and validating operational or financial reports.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other business reporting tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate issues and identify root causes.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work across multiple programs simultaneously.
  • Ability to learn new systems, applications, and business processes quickly.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with HVAC, refrigeration, facilities operations, building automation, or energy management programs.
  • Experience with Building Management Systems (BMS), Energy Management Systems (EMS), or related operational technology platforms.
  • Experience supporting predictive analytics, exception management, or automated monitoring programs.
  • Experience working with operational performance metrics and trend analysis.
  • Experience working with geographically distributed teams and external vendors.
  • Ability to synthesize complex information and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
