Role Description
These positions will function as developers for changes to multiple Department of Health (DOH) software applications as required by the MENA Legislative Mandate. The selected candidates will be involved in all facets of the software development process, including research, design, programming, testing, and implementation.
Day-to-Day Tasks
Analyzing business specifications.
Developing and modifying technical/design specifications, technical writing, and documentation.
Analyzing existing code for enhancement evaluation.
Updating client and web applications at the user interface, business logic, and data access layers.
Executing software development tasks, including coding, testing, and implementation.
Conducting knowledge transfer through documentation and formal/informal training sessions.
Technical Requirements
The Agency typically utilizes Windows workstations, Java/Oracle, and Unix/Solaris environments.
Mandatory & Requested Qualifications
Java Expert: 84 months of experience in object-oriented analysis and design (OOAD) using the Java programming language.
Database: 84 months of experience in Oracle PL/SQL, including developing procedures and packages.
Frameworks: 48 months using Struts 2 MVC and 36 months using JavaScript frameworks.
Web Services: 12 months developing Java web services (REST and SOAP).
Web Development: 12 months building and maintaining responsive web applications.
Version Control: 12 months using Git.
Legacy/Specific Apps: 24 months of experience with Microsoft Access applications.
Additional Information
Work Hours: Preferred hours are 8:30 am – 5:00 pm (40 hours per week).
Security Requirements: Mandatory ITS Security Agreements and Fingerprint-based Background Check.
Training: Consultants must attend mandatory workplace training (e.g., Security Awareness, Sexual Harassment Prevention).
Interview Format: Conducted via Webcasting; candidates must be on camera.
