Summary

Position Overview 

We are seeking an experienced Senior ServiceNow Developer to join our team in Atlanta, GA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and optimizing ServiceNow solutions that enhance IT Service Management (ITSM) and operational workflows across the organization. 

This role requires strong technical expertise in ServiceNow development, administration, integrations, and IT Operations Management (ITOM). The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, and leadership to deliver scalable and efficient ServiceNow solutions while ensuring adherence to industry best practices. 

Note: While the intent is for long-term engagement, this position is subject to annual budget approvals. The initial contract is expected to continue through the end of the fiscal year, with anticipated renewal thereafter. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Design, develop, configure, and implement ServiceNow solutions, custom applications, and integrations. 

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and translate requirements into technical solutions. 

  • Customize and configure ServiceNow modules, workflows, forms, business rules, UI policies, and catalog items. 

  • Develop and maintain integrations using ServiceNow APIs and web services. 

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve platform-related issues and performance concerns. 

  • Perform Service Mapping, Discovery, and Event Management configurations to improve IT operations visibility and efficiency. 

  • Participate in architecture discussions and recommend scalable ServiceNow solutions. 

  • Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards, security requirements, and development best practices. 

  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including solution designs, implementation guides, and support documentation. 

  • Mentor junior developers and provide technical leadership to the ServiceNow team. 

  • Stay current with ServiceNow platform enhancements, releases, and industry best practices. 

  • Support Agile/Scrum project delivery methodologies and participate in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives. 

Required Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 

  • Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience in ServiceNow development and administration. 

  • Strong experience with ServiceNow platform customization and development. 

  • Proficiency in: 

  • ServiceNow APIs 

  • JavaScript 

  • HTML 

  • CSS 

  • Strong understanding of ITSM and ITOM processes, workflows, and automation. 

  • Experience with ServiceNow modules including: 

  • ITSM (IT Service Management) 

  • CSM / PSDS (Customer Service Management) 

  • HAM (Hardware Asset Management) 

  • Hands-on experience with: 

  • Service Mapping 

  • Discovery 

  • Event Management 

  • Experience working within Agile/Scrum development environments. 

  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD). 

  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA). 

  • ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS). 

  • Experience implementing enterprise-scale ServiceNow solutions. 

  • Experience mentoring developers and leading technical initiatives.
