Senior Java Developer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client seeking a remote Senior Java Developer to join their team. They are focused on developing and enhancing enterprise applications that support critical customer and business operations. This role will contribute to large-scale modernization initiatives, helping streamline user experiences across multiple business processes and platforms.

Summary:
The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in backend development, cloud-native services, and modern software engineering practices. You will design, build, and maintain scalable APIs and microservices while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, high-performance solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and maintain backend applications and services using modern Java technologies
* Design and implement scalable APIs, microservices, and cloud-based solutions
* Partner with product, engineering, and business stakeholders to deliver new features and enhancements
* Support platform modernization, performance optimization, and system integration efforts
* Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and best practice initiatives
* Leverage AI-powered development tools and emerging technologies to improve engineering productivity and software quality

REQUIREMENTS:
* Minimum 5 years of professional experience with Java (recent in 21+)
* Strong experience in Spring Boot
* Experience in Google Cloud Platform
* Experience in AI tooling (Claude preferred)

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
