CAD CAM - Contract Engineer

Support the Launch Vehicles Avionics Design Group by designing complex printed wiring boards in a fast-paced, collaborative engineering environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and layout PWBs for military/aerospace avionics and test systems

• Collaborate with design, mechanical, and program engineers to ensure form, fit, and function

• Communicate project status and participate in peer and design milestone reviews

Basic Qualifications

• 5+ years of PWB layout experience using Cadence Allegro

• AA/AS degree (or equivalent training) with relevant experience

• Experience with complex multilayer boards (6–16 layers), rigid-flex, high-speed digital, analog, and power circuits

• Knowledge of controlled-impedance designs (DDR3/DDR4, SERDES)

• Experience preparing fabrication outputs (ODB++, Gerbers)

• Strong library management and IPC-2221 / IPC-7351 knowledge

• U.S. citizen with ability to obtain and maintain DoD Secret clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of PWA manufacturing processes

• Experience with CAM350 and/or Valor DFM

• Familiarity with OrCAD, Mentor PADS, or Xpedition
