Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced PeopleSoft Analyst IV to support long-term enhancements and production support efforts within the State of Wisconsin s STAR Development team (Department of Administration DOA). This hybrid role requires candidates to reside in Wisconsin or relocate prior to onboarding, with on-site work required once per month.
The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in PeopleTools, PeopleSoft HCM 9.2, and FSCM 9.2, with the ability to analyze complex business requirements and transform them into scalable technical solutions. This position requires strong analytical capabilities, advanced SQL skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
PeopleSoft Development & Support
Provide ongoing support and development for PeopleSoft HCM and FSCM applications, including analysis, design, coding, testing, implementation, and post-deployment support.
Develop and maintain reports, interfaces, extensions, and system integrations.
Technical Analysis & Design
Produce detailed technical design documents, including diagrams, plans, and procedures for both existing and new PeopleSoft solutions.
Work closely with business analysts and end users to understand requirements, assess feasibility, and estimate development efforts.
Recommend technical solutions that improve business efficiency and system performance.
System Enhancements & Upgrades
Support updates and upgrades, including Tax Updates, Critical Patch Updates, PeopleSoft PUM images, and PeopleTools upgrades.
Determine development scope for new initiatives, legislative mandates, or system configuration changes.
Collaboration & Communication
Demonstrate completed functionality to functional teams and provide guidance throughout implementation.
Provide technical assistance and mentorship to state staff.
Communicate effectively with users, peers, vendors, and management, ensuring exceptional customer service.
Operational & Administrative
Participate in after-hours or on-call work as needed.
Follow all agency policies, including attendance, conduct, and safety standards.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously with flexibility and initiative.
Required Skills & Experience
5+ years of PeopleTools development experience.
2+ years working with PeopleSoft FSCM 9.2.
2+ years working with PeopleSoft HCM 9.2.
Strong SQL skills and proficiency with PeopleSoft Query Manager.
Solid understanding of PeopleSoft data structures across HCM and FSCM.
Experience with SDLC processes for PeopleSoft implementations and support.
In-depth knowledge of PeopleSoft technologies, including PeopleTools, Integration Broker, Fluid UI, Reporting Tools, Workflow, and Lifecycle tools.
Experience integrating PeopleSoft with third-party applications using web services.
Nice to Have
COBOL development experience.
