Job Purpose

Alpha Technologies Services Inc.'s Bellingham, WA, office seeks a Test Engineer II - Vibration to perform test operations and monitoring of dynamic vibration test equipment used to support engineering development and production of power electronics, batteries, and enclosures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Duties include:
  • Mounting and removing test articles to shaker, HALT-vibe table head, drop tester and mechanical shock test equipment.
  • Preparing and maintaining required test logs, records, and reports.
  • Working with internal and external customers to establish test schedules, lead times and maintain a regular work schedule.
  • Understanding test requirements, equipment capabilities and fundamentals of vibration test operations while implementing safe operating procedures and recognizing safety hazards.
  • Collecting and analyzing vibration data and generating customer test reports.

Qualifications

Must have a bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent degree) in Mechatronic Engineering or a directly Engineering related field plus four (4) years of experience in a related position.

Experience must include four (4) years working with:
  • Environmental, climatic and humidity test validation.
  • DAQ equipment to monitor and validate the functionality of the tested units.
  • Microsoft Office suite.
  • NI LabView automatic test equipment (ATE) software.
  • SolidWorks CAD basic.
  • SAP
  • Microsoft Project (project collaboration)
  • Weiss & Thermotron climatic chambers.
  • Performing physical analysis on the tested units to perform improvements based on the results.

Experience can be concurrent.

General Job Requirements
  • Must be able to frequently bend; twist; reach; stoop; kneel or crouch.
  • Must be able to lift 25 pounds/11.5 kilos on occasions.
