SDET with Playwright

Position: SDET with Playwright Location: Dallas, TX - (Onsite) Duration: Long Term Contract

Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly experienced Senior SDET with strong Playwright expertise to join a fast-paced enterprise team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving test automation strategy, building scalable automation frameworks, and ensuring high-quality software delivery across complex web-based applications.

Responsibilities:
Lead the design, development, and implementation of test automation frameworks using Playwright
Develop and maintain end-to-end, regression, integration, and API automation tests
Write clean, scalable test code using TypeScript / JavaScript
Perform cross-browser testing across Chromium, Firefox, and WebKit
Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and DevOps teams
Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc.)
Execute and maintain API tests and backend validations
Review test automation code and mentor junior SDETs
Participate in Agile ceremonies: sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives
Analyze defects, identify root causes, and drive quality improvements
Ensure test coverage, reliability, and maintainability of automation suites

Required Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
8+ years of experience as an SDET / Automation Engineer
Strong hands-on experience with Playwright
Proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript
Strong understanding of test automation frameworks and design patterns
Experience with API testing (REST, JSON, HTTP methods)
Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines
Strong experience in Agile / Scrum environments
Solid knowledge of Git and version control
Excellent communication skills for working with US-based stakeholders

Nice to Have / Preferred Skills:
Experience with BDD frameworks (Cucumber, Gherkin)
Exposure to performance testing tools (JMeter, k6)
Experience with Docker and containerized testing
Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform)
Experience testing enterprise-scale or regulated systems
