Summary
Position: Senior .NET Application Developer
Location: Tallahassee, FL.
Duration: 4 Months with a possible renewal
The selected candidates will be expected to perform some combination of the following tasks:
• Provide .NET software application support inclusive of designing, coding, testing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting FWC applications.
• Provide MS SQL database application support inclusive of data design/modeling, coding, implementing, maintaining, and supporting FWC applications.
• Provide SQL programming inclusive of stored procedures, functions, and views.
• Provide configuration management (using DevOps/GitHub) for software application objects.
• Provide Azure application development and support (App Services, Azure Functions, Web Apps, APIs).
• Provide storage services management (Blob, File, Queue, Table Storage).
• Provide Azure DevOps pipelines for CI/CD automation and release management.
• Provide change management in a code promotion role in partnership with development team.
• Provide analytical services on systems to implement user-defined requirements.
• Maintain technical documentation (architecture, design specs, data dictionaries, user guides)
• Provide analytical services on systems to identify operational efficiencies.
• Facilitate collecting system requirements with the business program staff.
• Produce work estimates to implement user-defined requirements.
• Perform testing on system changes to meet user-defined requirements.
• Facilitate user acceptance testing (UAT) with the business program staff.
• Produce status reports on the implementation of user-defined requirements.
• Produce accounting of hours worked by tasks.
• Provide analytical services on FWC IT processes to identify operational efficiencies.
• Follow FWC IT processes and coordinate with other FWC IT staff to ensure compliance with FWC standards.
• Technical consultant to FWC staff.
• Complies with and enforces all agency policies, procedures, and security policies.
• Provide Technical Training (Knowledge Transfer), as required for Office of Information Technology Support Staff as related to FWC software applications.
• Remote work for this position is contemplated but must be available for initial on-site setup and regular meetings at FWC offices in Tallahassee, Florida. Local/Regional candidates preferred.
Qualification Requirements for Contractor
Education and experience
• 7+ years’ experience .NET programming inclusive of C#
• 7+ years’ experience working on enterprise-level software applications.
• 7+ years of providing analytical services on systems to implement user-defined requirements.
• 7+ years of providing analytical services on systems to identify operational efficiencies.
• 7+ years of collecting system requirements with business program staff.
• 7+ years of producing work estimates to implement user-defined requirements.
• 7+ years of testing system changes to meet user-defined requirements.
• 7+ years of configuration management (using DevOps and GitHub) for software application objects.
• 7+ years of facilitating user acceptance testing (UAT) with business program staff.
• 7+ years’ experience with MS SQL products inclusive of MS SQL 2019 and newer, Azure SQL Database and Azure SQL Managed Instance.
• 7+ years’ experience of MS SQL database application support inclusive of data design/modeling, coding, implementing, maintaining, and supporting these applications.
• 7+ years’ experience with SQL programming inclusive of stored procedures, functions, and views
Enterprise platform-related
• 7+ years’ experience in change management best practices, serving in a code promotion role in partnership with development team.
Education
• A bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or related field of study.
