What You Will Be Doing

As the Reliability Engineer Staff - Level 4 you will be responsible for guiding long-term asset-management strategies and embedding reliability, supportability, and maintainability principles across the full life-cycle of critical aeronautics systems.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Apply reliability-engineering principles to maximize asset availability.
  • Identify and define surveillance, testability, and condition-monitoring methods, including RCM solutions.
  • Collaborate with asset-availability teams to establish and enforce system-engineering standards.
  • Conduct root-cause analyses and drive corrective-action initiatives for mission-critical assets.
  • Develop and maintain documentation that supports long-term sustainment and de-commissioning planning.

Basic Qualifications

Experience developing and administering Machine & Facilities Infrastructure reliability processes and systems

Experience in performance improvement and reliability program management across all asset system life-cycle phases

Experience in strategic data analytics

Ability to obtain and maintain required security clearance

Desired skills

Experience in creating product and process reliability requirements using reliability and design techniques such as FMEA, fault tolerance, optimization, Design of Experiments (DOE), and OEM supplied information and documentation

Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university

Experience in strategic data analytics; specifically, aspects of machine reliability

Comprehensive understanding of ISO55000

Experience with identifying, collecting, normalizing, and analyzing various types of data to minimize system failures and improve performance

Experience using failure analysis (FRACAS) and other types of root cause analysis, in support of industrial facilities asset system

Experience developing reliability test plans that represent the expected use environment and operational conditions

Experience selecting, analyzing, and interpreting the results of various test methods to be used in sustainment planning

Experience with machine probability and statistical tools to analyze machine health

Experience with hypothesis testing, with a general familiarity of appropriate statistical models, as they relate to tolerance and confidence intervals

Experience connecting critical machine tools to a network and setting up data collection structure for IIOT

Work Schedule Information

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

National Pay Statement

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $104,500 - $184,115. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.

Premium Pay Statement

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $120,100 - $208,150. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
