Location: Merrifield, Virginia (Hybrid)

Role Overview

This role involves partnering with IT Risk leaders and stakeholders to define and deliver risk reporting solutions. The ideal candidate will translate business needs into technical requirements, design and build interactive Power BI dashboards, and provide analytical insights to support risk governance. This position requires a blend of business analysis, data analytics, and executive communication skills to enhance the organization's risk intelligence capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with IT Risk leaders, risk owners, and business stakeholders to gather reporting requirements.
• Facilitate workshops to define key risk indicators (KRIs), management metrics, and dashboard functionality.
• Document business requirements, data definitions, and reporting standards.
• Translate business needs into technical reporting and visualization requirements.
• Design, build, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports for executive, operational, and regulatory views.
• Create scalable data models, DAX calculations, KPIs, scorecards, and trend analyses.
• Analyze risk data from various sources, including ServiceNow, SharePoint, and SQL Server.
• Develop reporting for Risk Appetite Metrics, KRIs, Control Effectiveness, and Operational Risk Trends.
• Validate data quality and integrity across reporting sources and partner with data teams to resolve discrepancies.
• Create concise dashboards and provide analytical insights for senior leadership and risk committees.

Required Qualifications

Education: A bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Finance, Risk Management, Analytics, or a related field is required.

Experience: Candidates must have 3 to 5 years of experience in business analysis, data analytics, or reporting. This includes over 3 years of hands-on Power BI report and dashboard development experience. Experience with gathering and documenting business requirements is also necessary.

Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, DAX, Power Query, and SQL is required. Proficiency in data modeling principles and experience working with large datasets from multiple source systems are also essential.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in IT Risk, Operational Risk, Cybersecurity, Audit, Compliance, or Governance functions.
• Knowledge of risk management frameworks and KRIs.
• Experience with ServiceNow reporting and GRC platforms.
• Familiarity with Azure, SQL Server, SharePoint, and Microsoft 365 data sources.
• Experience creating executive-level dashboards and scorecards.
• Power BI or Microsoft Data Analyst certifications.
