AI Solutions Business Analyst
Rockville, MD - One day onsite - Tuesday - but you need to be flexible to come in to the office as needed

Overview
The Business Analyst will play a critical role in supporting an enterprise wide AI innovation and adoption initiative within the Change Management Office. This is a highly interactive, customer facing role requiring exceptional interpersonal skills, strong analytical thinking, and the ability to guide stakeholders—often with unclear or emerging needs—through structured intake, assessment, and solution shaping.
The ideal candidate thrives in a fast paced, evolving environment, maintains a positive and professional attitude, and excels at asking the right questions to uncover true business needs. This role involves helping stakeholders determine whether AI is the appropriate solution (or if another approach is better), supporting product and delivery frameworks, and driving user engagement, training, and documentation efforts. The analyst will regularly interface one on one with stakeholders across multiple departments, understanding their unique challenges and translating them into actionable requirements. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
Key Responsibilities
AI Intake, Analysis & Solution Assessment
• Conduct intake sessions with stakeholders to understand business problems—often ambiguous—and ask probing, clarifying questions to identify underlying needs.
• Evaluate requests using predefined criteria to determine whether AI is the right solution or if alternative approaches are more suitable.
• Partner with product, delivery, and technical teams to align stakeholder needs with the AI initiative’s framework, capabilities, and roadmap.
• Support ongoing maturity of the AI solution intake process.
Business Process & Requirements Support
• Facilitate business process discovery, analysis, requirements gathering, and testing for enterprise-level initiatives.
• Collect and analyze records and data across organizational systems to inform AI-related decisions and process improvements.
• Work closely with change management staff to assess business impacts and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
Stakeholder Engagement & Customer Service
• Build strong, positive relationships with stakeholders, business owners, developers, and cross functional teams.
• Maintain a service oriented mindset, ensuring stakeholders feel supported and understood throughout the process.
• Facilitate workshops, focus groups, and JAD sessions, creating a collaborative and inclusive environment.
• Communicate clearly with both technical and non technical audiences.
Documentation, Training & Engagement
• Prepare high quality documentation, including:
o As Is and To Be process maps
o Process flows and diagrams
o Functional and non functional requirements
o User guides, training materials, and engagement content
• Participate in user adoption activities, contributing to training, communication, and stakeholder readiness efforts.
Technical & Functional Support
• Translate business needs into functional/technical specifications for development and vendor teams.
• Support functional, integration, and user acceptance testing activities.
• Conduct data analysis and visualization to support decision making.
Change Management Partnership
• Collaborate with the Change Management Office to develop strategies and plans that drive sustainable adoption.
• Assist in identifying organizational impacts, communicating changes, and supporting readiness for new systems and processes.
Required Skills & Experience

• Demonstrated experience with:
o Business Analysis
o Requirements elicitation & documentation
o Business Process Mapping, Re Engineering & Modeling
o AI related or technology driven initiatives (preferred but not required)
o Agile methodologies & SDLC
o Data analytics, visualization, and business intelligence
• Experience collaborating with developers, project teams, business owners, change management staff, and COTS vendors.
