Job: Storage Engineer
Duration: 6+ Months contract
Location: REMOTE Blue Bell, PA
Required Skills -
5+ years of dedicated enterprise storage engineering experience, with at least 3+ years specifically focused on Dell EMC platforms.
Dell EMC NAS Expertise: Deep technical knowledge of PowerScale/Isilon (OneFS) architecture. Experience with SmartPools, SmartQuotas, SyncIQ, InsightIQ, and DataIQ.
Object Storage Expertise: Proven experience deploying and managing Dell EMC ECS (Elastic Cloud Storage). Strong understanding of object-based architectures, buckets, namespaces, and geo-replication.
Protocol Proficiency: Advanced understanding of file and object protocols, including NFS (v3/v4), SMB/CIFS, and S3 API.
Networking & Systems: Strong grasp of storage networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, VLANs, LACP) and directory services integration (Active Directory, LDAP, Kerberos).
Analytical Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex system logs and performance metrics.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with other Dell EMC storage arrays (PowerMax, VPLEX) or SAN switches (Brocade, Cisco MDS).
Familiarity with hybrid-cloud storage tiering (e.g., CloudPools tiering to AWS/Azure/Google Cloud Platform).
Experience with infrastructure-as-code and configuration management tools (Ansible, Terraform).
Scripting proficiency in Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
