JOB TITLE: Software Development Engineer IV
EST START DATE: 4/1/2026
CONTRACT LENGTH: 9 months
LOCATION: Onsite x5 days/week in Seattle, WA
HOURS: 40 hrs/week, potential for OT, Mon-Fri 8a-5p core hours
PAY RANGE: $75-$81/hr
WHAT IS THIS CONTRACTOR SPECIFICALLY DOING?
- SDE will clear the backlog of UX-related items to client program feedback, improving user workflows and assignment logic interfaces.
- Address Scoring and backend operational issues including excessive retries, service architecture restructuring, and simplification to improve system reliability and performance.
- Implement scalable solutions with proper error handling, monitoring, and alerting to ensure operational excellence.
- Partner with dependent teams to validate requirements, optimize service interactions, and support integration testing through production rollout.
- Deliver production-ready UX improvements and backend optimizations with fully resolved operational issues, restructured services, and monitoring/alerting to ensure system reliability and performance SLAs.
- Provide operational runbooks, dashboards, and on-call guidance to support steady-state operations and incident response.
- Complete end-to-end validation, including integration testing, performance testing, and operational readiness verification, and support launch readiness activities to enable a stable production deployment and long-term maintainability.
MAIN QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum 5+ years of exp
- Must have a minumum of 5+ years of experience as a full-stack engineer
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science
- Proficiency in Java, TypeScript, Python
- Experience buidling backend or distributed systems
- Experience with infrastructure code
- Experience with micro-frontend architectures and related tools/frameworks.
- Has an understanding of cross-origin resource sharing (CORS) and related web security concepts.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including designers and product managers
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
