Overview
TalentFish is casting a line for a Senior CorVision Developer. This is a 12-month remote contract role. This individual will serve as the primary developer supporting critical legacy applications built on OpenVMS, CorVision, and Oracle Rdb. This role will ensure operational reliability and provide cross-functional support during the organization's multi-year modernization transition.

What You Bring to the Role. (Ideal Experience)

• 7+ years of experience supporting OpenVMS environments.
• Hands-on experience with DCL scripting, CorVision, and legacy business logic.
• Strong experience with Oracle Rdb for OpenVMS.
• Ability to manage complex production workloads with high reliability and low tolerance for downtime.
• Strong documentation, communication, and teamwork skills.

What You'll Do. (Skills Used in this Position)

• Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for OpenVMS, including system operations, scripting (DCL), and legacy application support.
• Support and maintain applications written in CorVision.
• Support systems utilizing Oracle Rdb for OpenVMS, SQL, and legacy data integrations.
• Maintain and expand the existing documentation repository, ensuring all operational, recovery, and support procedures are up to date (critical due to prior knowledge-loss risks).
• Assist in transition activities as systems migrate away from OpenVMS toward modern, cloud-aligned platforms.
• Support data migration and process mapping efforts in partnership with modernization teams.

Compensation and Employment
This role requires authorization to work in the U.S. without current or future visa sponsorship. The expected hourly rate for this position is $60 - $65 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. This role also qualifies for comprehensive benefits such as health insurance, 401(k), and paid time off. TalentFish is committed to pay transparency and equal opportunity.
