Title: IBM APIC Developer
Location: Durham, NC (Hybrid/Onsite as Required)

Duration: 6+ Moths Contract
Client: Confidential (Health Insurance Domain)

Job Description

Client is seeking a Senior Developer to support the design, development, and delivery of high-volume, low-latency enterprise applications supporting mission-critical business functions. This individual will be responsible for analyzing business requirements, developing scalable solutions, troubleshooting production issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.

The ideal candidate will be a strong hands-on developer whose most recent experience is working with IBM APIC V10. Candidates with experience developing integrations utilizing FHIR APIs are strongly preferred. This individual should be able to work independently, provide technical leadership, and contribute to architectural decisions while mentoring junior team members.

Breakdown of Duties

  • Analyze, design, develop, test, and implement enterprise software solutions
  • Develop scalable, high-performance applications supporting mission-critical business functions
  • Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following development best practices
  • Collaborate with business and technical teams to understand requirements and recommend solutions
  • Troubleshoot and resolve development, testing, and production issues
  • Participate in application architecture and design discussions
  • Evaluate build-versus-buy options and provide recommendations to leadership
  • Research emerging technologies and recommend innovative solutions
  • Support code reviews and mentor less experienced developers
  • Ensure application performance, reliability, and scalability standards are met
  • Design, develop, and support API integrations and related enterprise services
  • Support healthcare-related integrations and data exchange initiatives where applicable

Hiring Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field
  • 5+ years of software development experience
  • In lieu of a degree, 7+ years of relevant development experience
  • Experience designing and developing enterprise applications
  • Strong understanding of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
  • Most recent experience must be as a Developer working with IBM APIC V10
  • Experience developing and supporting APIs and integration solutions
  • Experience troubleshooting and resolving production issues
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
