Audit Senior Associate

Position Overview

Our client is an established Oklahoma City accounting and advisory firm seeking an experienced Audit Senior Associate to join its growing public accounting team. This position offers the opportunity to work directly with clients, take ownership of complex engagements, and provide guidance to less-experienced team members.

The ideal candidate is a motivated accounting professional who brings strong technical skills, sound judgment, attention to detail, and a client-focused approach. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to continue developing their public accounting career within a collaborative and professional environment.

Responsibilities

* Manage and complete audit and accounting engagements with appropriate guidance and support
* Provide regular status updates to managers and firm leadership
* Review work prepared by associate-level team members
* Support, train, and mentor associates and other junior staff
* Communicate directly with clients to gather information, address questions, and resolve issues
* Identify opportunities to improve engagement efficiency and overall client service
* Develop and maintain strong professional relationships with clients and referral sources
* Apply sound accounting and auditing principles to complex client projects
* Manage multiple engagements, priorities, and deadlines effectively
* Maintain accurate and thorough engagement documentation
* Participate in continuing education and professional development activities
* Contribute to a positive, collaborative team environment

Qualifications

* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or a related field
* Active CPA license or significant progress toward CPA licensure
* Significant progress toward the CPA examination, with at least two sections passed preferred
* 2+ years of public accounting experience
* Strong understanding of accounting and auditing principles
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
* Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a team
* Professional and client-focused approach
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
* Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
* CCH Axcess experience is a plus
