OverviewLMI is seeking an experienced
Agile Scrum Master to support the LIGER AI Platform - a cross-functional product team delivering advanced AI workspace capabilities, including agentic AI, Model Context Protocol (MCP) integration, and data analysis tools to federal civilian and defense customers.
The Scrum Master will lead Agile ceremonies, coach the team on Lean-Agile practices, and serve as a key connector between product, engineering, and customer stakeholders. This role operates in a fast-paced, commercially driven environment where LIGER is deployed across cloud, air-gapped, and classified networks, and where the team is expected to deliver working software on a continuous release cadence.
This position requires the ability to obtain a CBP Background Investigation; U.S. citizenship is required. Responsibilities- Facilitate all Agile team ceremonies - Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives - for the LIGER product team.
- Coach team members on Agile principles, Lean mindset, and continuous improvement practices in a commercially-paced AI product environment.
- Collaborate closely with the Product Owner to maintain a prioritized, well-refined backlog aligned with customer needs, program objectives, and the LIGER product roadmap.
- Coordinate with federal customer stakeholders - including civilian agency and DoD personnel - to ensure user adoption, training, and engagement priorities are addressed.
- Identify, track, and resolve cross-team dependencies and blockers in coordination with other Scrum Masters, TPMs, and engineering leads across LIGER deployments.
- Track and communicate team metrics (velocity, sprint goals, improvement items) to product leadership and stakeholders.
- Support Program Increment (PI) Planning and Inspect & Adapt events where applicable.
- Foster a culture of transparency, user-focused delivery, and proactive problem-solving across the LIGER product team.
- Support onboarding of new team members to LIGER platform tooling, workflows, and delivery standards.
QualificationsRequired Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master in a software product or SaaS development environment.
- Demonstrated experience facilitating Agile ceremonies and coaching teams on Agile/Lean principles.
- Strong facilitation, servant leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working with or supporting federal government customers.
- This position requires the ability to obtain a CBP Background Investigation; U.S. citizenship is required. Candidates with existing CBP BI suitability will be prioritized.
- This position requires an active Secret security clearance (or the ability to obtain).
Preferred Qualifications- Experience supporting AI, data analytics, or cloud-native platform teams.
- Familiarity with AI/ML product development cycles, including model integration, agentic workflows, or API-driven platforms.
- SAFe Scrum Master (SSM), CSM, or equivalent Agile certification.
- Experience with Agile tooling: GitLab, Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar.
- Familiarity with federal security and compliance frameworks (FedRAMP, CMMC, DoD IL environments).
- Experience supporting classified or air-gapped software deployments.
- Prior experience in a fast-paced commercial software environment delivering to government customers.
Travel RequirementsTravel onsite to customer and LMI office subject to team operations; most forward deployed teams operate hybrid.
