Summary

Sr. Programmer Analyst:

  • Design, implement, and optimize relational databases, with a focus on SQL Server and cloud-based architectures (Azure).
  • Develop complex data models to support healthcare applications, including claims processing, provider management, and credentialing systems.
  • Establish database best practices, coding standards, and data governance protocols to ensure data integrity and security.
  • Drive high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) solutions using tools like AlwaysOn Availability Groups, Log Shipping, and replication.
  • Lead the development of ETL pipelines using SSIS and similar tools for seamless integration of data across multiple healthcare platforms.
  • Design and manage cross-platform data flow between on-premises systems and cloud environments.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations such as HIPAA, and manage sensitive data encryption (TDE, Always Encrypted).
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand complex healthcare workflows and translate them into robust technical solutions.
  • Manage and mentor a team of developers, including SQL, SaaS, and Cloud specialists, fostering technical growth and collaboration.
  • Conduct code reviews, provide technical direction, and ensure the team follows best practices in database design and development.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to leadership, aligning technical execution with strategic goals.
  • Analyze and resolve critical database performance issues, applying advanced query optimization and indexing techniques.
  • Provide innovative solutions for complex healthcare data challenges, such as claims adjudication, provider credentialing, and patient data integration.
  • Proactively identify areas for system improvement and lead initiatives to enhance system reliability and scalability.

Qualifications:

  • Education:Bachelor s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience:
    • 10+ years of IT experience, with a focus on database and integration technologies.
    • Strong background in healthcare systems, particularly HealthEdge and/or EPIC.
    • Proven experience in leading technical teams while remaining hands-on.
    • Technical Skills:
  • Mastery in SQL, SaaS, and cloud technologies.
  • Expertise in data modeling, integration, and healthcare-specific platforms.
  • Soft Skills:
  • Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
  • Strong communication skills, able to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
