Position Overview

Are you an electrical engineering professional ready to transcend routine design and lead high-impact, multidisciplinary building projects? We are seeking a high-caliber Electrical Engineer to serve as a technical linchpin within our rapidly expanding firm. In this role, you will not simply execute tasks; you will architect the power and systems infrastructure for diverse environments ranging from acute healthcare facilities to complex industrial complexes. You will act as a primary technical authority, transforming client visions into sophisticated, code-compliant electrical realities.

Joining our team offers more than just a seat at a desk-it is an invitation to join a culture of excellence where professional autonomy and mentorship coexist. The firm is dedicated to fostering a legacy of technical innovation, providing a platform where experienced engineers can influence project direction, mentor the next generation of talent, and accelerate their trajectory toward senior leadership. Here, your contributions are visible, valued, and vital to our collective growth.

Core Responsibilities
  • Systems Architecture: Lead the comprehensive design of electrical systems, including AC power distribution, sophisticated lighting arrays, and life safety systems across diverse sectors.
  • Technical Stewardship: Perform and oversee critical engineering calculations, including photometrics, voltage drop, and fault current analysis (utilizing SKM or similar tools) to ensure system resilience.
  • Integrated Coordination: Serve as the primary electrical point of contact for clients, contractors, and utility companies, ensuring seamless integration between MEP disciplines and architectural intent.
  • Project Leadership: Supervise the technical output of junior designers and project team members, ensuring all deliverables meet the firm's rigorous standards for quality and accuracy.
  • Code & Compliance Authority: Ensure all designs align with the National Electrical Code (NEC), NFPA Life Safety standards, and stringent energy codes; providing official seals on drawings in applicable jurisdictions.
  • Specifications & Documentation: Author and edit high-precision technical specifications using CSI MasterFormat to guide construction clarity.
  • Construction Administration: Lead the bridge between design and reality by managing submittal reviews, responding to RFIs, and conducting due diligence fieldwork.

Required Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited program.
  • Licensure: Active Professional Engineering (PE) license.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in electrical building systems design (Commercial, Industrial, or Healthcare).
  • Software Proficiency: Strong command of Microsoft Office Suite; professional exposure to AutoCAD and/or Revit MEP.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Multi-State Mobility: Eligibility for NCEES record or licensure in multiple jurisdictions.
  • Advanced Modeling: Proficiency with SKM Power*Tools or similar electrical modeling software.
  • Project Management: Proven track record of managing project lifecycles and leading design efforts with minimal supervision.
