Senior AWS Cloud Developer (Python)

Location: Washington, DC (Onsite – Local candidates only)

12+ months Contract

Overview

We are looking for a Senior AWS Cloud Developer with strong experience in Python and AWS services to support a cloud-native application.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain applications using Python and AWS (Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, API Gateway)
Build workflows using AWS Step Functions
Implement Infrastructure as Code (CDK or Terraform)
Develop and integrate REST APIs (Angular/React is a plus)
Work with Docker and CI/CD pipelines
Handle logging and monitoring using CloudWatch and CloudTrail
Perform testing, debugging, and support Agile development

Required Skills

7+ years of software development experience
Strong Python + AWS (serverless) experience
Hands-on with Step Functions, Lambda, API Gateway
Experience with IaC (CDK/Terraform), Git, CI/CD, Docker
Basic frontend knowledge (Angular or React preferred)
