Overview
We are seeking a Contract-to-Hire Illustrator Script Developer / 3D Developer with AI exposure to support automation of Adobe Illustrator-based design and production workflows, extended with 3D asset development and AI-driven tooling. This role mirrors a previously successful placement on an Adobe Illustrator scripting profile.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain custom scripts/plugins for Adobe Illustrator (ExtendScript, JavaScript, or UXP/CEP) to automate design and production workflows
• Build and integrate 3D assets and workflows (e.g., Substance 3D, Cinema 4D, Blender, or similar) into Illustrator-based pipelines
• Apply AI/ML tools (e.g., Adobe Firefly, Sensei, or generative AI APIs) to enhance design automation and content generation
• Collaborate with creative, production, and engineering teams to translate requirements into automated tooling
• Troubleshoot, optimize, and support existing scripts/plugins for performance and reliability
• Document workflows and provide knowledge transfer to internal teams
Required Skills & Experience
• Proven experience developing custom scripts/plugins for Adobe Illustrator (ExtendScript, JavaScript, or UXP/CEP)
• Hands-on 3D development experience (modeling, rendering, or pipeline integration)
• Exposure to AI-driven design tools or generative AI integration
• Strong JavaScript/scripting fundamentals
• Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud SDKs and APIs
• Comfortable working independently in a remote, distributed team environment
Nice to Have
• Experience with Adobe Substance 3D, Cinema 4D, or Blender
• Familiarity with Adobe Firefly or other generative AI APIs
• Background in packaging, product design, or CPG creative production tooling
