This is a senior technical role requiring deep expertise in messaging middleware architecture, high availability (multi-instance queue managers), clustering, and advanced troubleshooting. You will partner closely with application development teams, network engineers, and security groups to ensure secure, highly reliable message delivery across the enterprise. If you excel at diagnosing complex connectivity issues, tuning performance, and maintaining mission-critical server infrastructure, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

Architecture Setup: Design and set up queue managers, queues, channels, listeners, and robust clustering solutions.
Failover & HA: Implement multi-instance queue managers and high availability architectures to ensure continuous business operations.
Administration, Monitoring & Tuning
System Health: Monitor queue depths, channel statuses, and overall system performance metrics; proactively manage message flows and resolve build-ups.
Performance Optimization: Tune memory allocation, resource usage, and channel configurations; analyze logs and identify performance bottlenecks.
Patch Management: Execute regular system audits, apply software patches, and manage message retention and dead-letter queue strategies.

Security Management & Compliance
Access Control: Implement authentication, authorization controls, and Channel Authentication Records (CHLAUTH).
Encryption Standards: Configure SSL/TLS certificates and secure communication protocols to ensure compliance with enterprise security policies.
Troubleshooting & Support
Incident Resolution: Diagnose complex connectivity issues, investigate message delivery failures, and analyze system error logs (AMQERR01.LOG, FDC files).
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with application teams to define integration requirements, resolve deployment issues, and establish messaging best practices.

Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field (or equivalent professional experience).
Experience Baseline: Minimum of 5+ years of dedicated professional experience in systems administration, infrastructure support, and enterprise messaging middleware.
Technical Mastery:
oExpert-level administration experience with IBM MQ across Windows, Linux, and Unix/AIX environments.
oProven hands-on experience configuring high availability, clustering, and multi-instance failover architectures.
oStrong working knowledge of IBM MQ security configurations, including SSL/TLS certificates and CHLAUTH rules.
oProficient troubleshooting skills, log analysis, and performance tuning capabilities.
Core Competencies: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; excellent documentation and communication skills; capability to coordinate across cross-functional engineering teams.
