Job Title: Sr. RTE Analyst

Location: Remote

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Healthcare Informatics, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years of experience working with Epic applications, with strong hands-on experience in Real-Time Eligibility (RTE).
  • Expert-level experience with Epic RTE implementation, configuration, maintenance, and production support.
  • Strong understanding of Epic Patient Access workflows, including eligibility verification and insurance-related processes.
  • Hands-on experience designing, building, configuring, testing, and implementing Epic RTE workflows and functionality.
  • Strong experience working directly with Patient Access users and business stakeholders to understand requirements and improve RTE workflows.
  • Experience leading medium to large complexity Epic software upgrade initiatives, enhancements, and workflow optimization projects.
  • Strong knowledge of Epic build, configuration, testing, troubleshooting, and release management processes.
  • Experience supporting Epic upgrades, enhancements, implementations, testing, and go-live activities.
  • Strong understanding of RTE interfaces, eligibility transactions, payer connectivity, and troubleshooting of eligibility-related issues.
  • Experience with workflow analysis, process improvement, documentation, and change management.
  • Ability to analyze complex production issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions within Epic RTE.
  • Experience creating and maintaining technical and functional documentation, including workflow specifications, configuration documentation, test plans, and support procedures.
  • Strong understanding of Epic best practices and healthcare revenue cycle / Patient Access processes.
  • Ability to mentor team members on Epic functionality, RTE workflows, documentation, testing, best practices, and change management.
  • Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, stakeholder management, and cross-team collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently, take ownership of assigned Epic RTE initiatives, and manage multiple priorities in a production healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with Patient Access users and business stakeholders to design, build, configure, and improve Epic RTE workflows.
  • Lead medium to large complexity Epic software upgrade initiatives and application enhancements, including requirements analysis, design, build, testing, implementation, and post-production support.
  • Perform hands-on Epic RTE configuration, maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization.
  • Analyze current Patient Access and eligibility workflows and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy, and user experience.
  • Design and implement RTE solutions based on business requirements and Epic best practices.
  • Coordinate and execute application testing, including unit, integrated, regression, and upgrade testing.
  • Troubleshoot complex RTE and Patient Access issues and provide timely resolution for production incidents.
  • Support Epic upgrades, releases, deployments, cutovers, and go-live activities.
  • Work with cross-functional technical and business teams to investigate eligibility, payer connectivity, workflow, and application issues.
