Project Leadership & Governance
Lead the end‑to‑end delivery of the Email Domain Separation project, from discovery and planning through execution, cutover, and stabilization.
Define project scope, success criteria, milestones, dependencies, risks, and mitigation plans.
Establish and manage project governance, status reporting, RAID logs, and stakeholder communications.
Ensure alignment with enterprise IT strategy, security policies, and compliance requirements.
Drive technical design discussions related to:
Exchange Online / O365 tenant architecture
Accepted domains, email address policies, and routing
Hybrid Exchange and coexistence scenarios
Azure AD / Active Directory identity boundaries
SMTP relay, mail flow, connectors, and third‑party integrations
Coordinate domain separation activities such as:
Domain ownership validation and DNS changes (MX, SPF, DKIM, DMARC)
Email address and UPN impact analysis
Mail flow segregation and coexistence planning
Application and service dependency assessment (SMTP, scanners, SaaS apps)
Ensure security controls are maintained or enhanced, including:
Conditional Access considerations
Privileged access boundaries
Role‑based access and tenant isolation
Stakeholder & Cross‑Team Coordination
Work closely with:
Active Directory / Identity teams
Exchange / Messaging teams
Security and Compliance teams
Network, DNS, and infrastructure teams
Application owners and business stakeholders
Translate technical complexity into clear business‑level communication for leadership and non‑technical stakeholders.
Lead technical workshops, design reviews, and change readiness discussions.
Risk, Cutover & Operational Readiness
Identify risks related to:
Email downtime or misrouting
Identity or authentication failures
Application mail flow breakage
Compliance or data residency concerns
Develop and execute:
Cutover and rollback plans
Change management and communication plans
Post‑migration validation and stabilization activities
Ensure proper documentation, operational handover, and knowledge transfer to support teams.
