The Software Sensors: Airborne Radar & Space Software Center is made up of multiple departments located across the country, where Electronic Warfare is one. The Electronic Warfare Software department develops real-time embedded software for multiple platforms including military aircraft and other complex airborne systems. Our precision software and firmware integrate operating systems, device drivers, networking, and control software to bring together radio frequency signals, avionics, and flight control processing features to complete the mission. As part of the Software Engineering team, you will be an integral part of helping Raytheon further our vision to be the global leader in core and next-generation solutions. You will experience all aspects of a software development life cycle as a member of a fast-paced agile team on the leading edge of:

Real-time embedded systems

Digital signal processing

DevOps technologies and methods

This position is an onsite role located in Goleta, CA.

What You Will Do:

Assist and participate in the requirements, design, development and testing of real-time embedded software, application software, and tools.

Develop new work products or enhancements of existing applications and systems.

Participate in internal reviews of software components and systems.

Collaborate with our chief engineers, and other disciplines within Engineering.

Work on difficult problems with defined scope, schedule, and expectations.

Follow established development practices and processes to maintain the configuration management of software products.

Qualifications You Must Have:

Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM).

This position is an entry level position open to candidates with 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding Internships).

Experience with C, C++, or C#.

The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer:

1 year or more of Calculus, Physics and Computer Science studies that include assembly level programming, plus coursework covering modern software languages.

Knowledge of data structures and algorithms, systems software design, operating systems and architectures.

Knowledge of assembly, C/C++ programming, structured programming concepts.

Interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.

3.0 cumulative GPA desired.

The salary range for this role is 62,900 USD - 119,700 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
