About the Role
We are looking for a Senior API Developer to design, build, and maintain scalable APIs powering next-generation digital experiences and AI-driven applications. You will play a key role in developing secure, high-performance backend services while integrating GraphQL, Neo4j, cloud-native technologies, and Large Language Models (LLMs) into enterprise applications.
This role is ideal for an experienced backend engineer passionate about modern API architecture, event-driven systems, graph databases, and Generative AI.
Responsibilities
· Design, develop, and maintain scalable RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
· Build secure, high-performance backend services using AWS cloud technologies.
· Develop and optimize GraphQL schemas, resolvers, and API integrations.
· Design and query graph databases using Neo4j.
· Integrate Large Language Models (OpenAI ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini) into enterprise applications.
· Develop AI-powered workflows using Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and vector search concepts.
· Build event-driven applications using Kafka and AWS EventBridge.
· Develop serverless applications using AWS Lambda, API Gateway, and Step Functions.
· Implement OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, Auth0, or Okta for secure authentication and authorization.
· Build Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or AWS CDK.
· Participate in API design, code reviews, testing, CI/CD, and production support.
· Collaborate with Product Managers, Architects, Security, and DevOps teams to deliver scalable solutions.
Required Qualifications
· 7+ years of backend software development experience.
· Strong hands-on experience with GraphQL API development.
· Experience working with Neo4j Graph Database.
· Hands-on experience integrating Large Language Models such as:
o OpenAI (ChatGPT)
o Claude (Anthropic)
o Google Gemini
· Strong experience developing REST APIs and microservices.
· Experience with AWS services including:
o Lambda
o API Gateway
o EventBridge
o Step Functions
· Experience building event-driven architectures using Kafka or similar messaging platforms.
· Experience with Terraform or AWS CDK.
· Strong understanding of OAuth 2.0, OIDC, Auth0, or Okta.
· Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Git-based development.
· Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
o Experience with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG).
o Knowledge of vector databases and AI orchestration frameworks.
o Experience with Domain-Driven Design (DDD).
o Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
o Familiarity with Datadog, Redis, Elasticsearch, and API observability.
o Experience building highly scalable enterprise SaaS platforms.
