Job Summary

Our East Coast healthcare client is seeking a Director of Microsoft Product Suite to be responsible for the strategic oversight, integration, and advancement of Microsoft enterprise technologies throughout the organization. This includes Microsoft 365, Teams, SharePoint, Azure, Power Platform, and emerging tools such as Microsoft Copilot and Viva. This is a contract role that does require the ability to work onsite

Responsibilities

Strategic Platform Leadership
  • Define and lead the strategic roadmap for enterprise-wide Microsoft product suite adoption.
  • Align platform capabilities with digital transformation, operational efficiency, and patient/user experience objectives.
  • Oversee modernization initiatives including migration to cloud services, Teams optimization, and SharePoint consolidation.

Governance, Compliance & Change Management
  • Establish governance frameworks for Microsoft 365, Azure, and Power Platform use within a healthcare or academic environment.
  • Ensure adherence to security, HIPAA, SOC, and IT compliance standards.
  • Collaborate with change management and training teams to promote platform adoption.

Program & Lifecycle Management
  • Oversee platform planning, implementation, optimization, and retirement of legacy systems where applicable.
  • Track new Microsoft product releases and identify opportunities for integration and innovation.
  • Ensure systems support interoperability with Epic, HRIS, finance, and research platforms.

Team Development & Stakeholder Engagement
  • Lead a team of product managers, solution architects, engineers, and support personnel.
  • Collaborate with departments such as nursing, HR, finance, research, and clinical operations to capture and deliver platform value.
  • Guide development of best practices, user education, and collaborative standards.

Vendor and Contract Oversight
  • Manage relationships with Microsoft and related vendors.
  • Lead contract negotiations, license management, and vendor accountability.
  • Participate in strategic vendor evaluations and RFP processes.

Innovation & Digital Health Enablement
  • Identify and pilot use cases for Microsoft Copilot, Power Automate, and AI tools in healthcare, research, and administration.
  • Support mobile enablement, virtual care capabilities, and cross-platform integration.
  • Promote data-informed decision-making and operational automation using Power BI and related tools.

Requirements
  • 10+ years of progressive IT leadership experience, with 5+ years managing Microsoft enterprise technologies in a healthcare setting.
  • Experience in healthcare, academic, or research IT environments with a focus on platform governance and integration.
  • Deep expertise in Microsoft enterprise stack: M365, Teams, Azure, SharePoint, Power Platform
  • Experience leading platform adoption and change in complex, regulated environments
  • Strong vendor management, budgeting, and cross-team collaboration skills
  • Familiarity with clinical, research, or administrative workflows and associated system needs
  • Knowledge of HIPAA, cybersecurity, and data governance best practices
  • Ability to communicate technical strategies clearly to diverse stakeholders
