Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst (BA) with strong expertise in managing and coordinating software development teams, including offshore developers in India. The ideal candidate will work onsite in Chicago and act as the key liaison between business stakeholders, product owners, and the offshore development team to ensure successful project execution, timely delivery, and high-quality outcomes.

This role requires excellent communication skills, strong documentation abilities, and hands-on experience managing development team workflows in an Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Work closely with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements.

• Translate business needs into clear functional and technical requirements for development teams.

• Manage and coordinate offshore development teams in India, ensuring tasks are understood and delivered on time.

• Conduct daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog grooming, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.

• Act as the bridge between onsite business teams and offshore developers.

• Create and maintain documentation such as:

  • BRD (Business Requirement Document)

  • FRD (Functional Requirement Document)

  • User Stories / Acceptance Criteria

  • Process Flows / Use Cases

• Monitor project progress, timelines, deliverables, and risks.

• Support QA/testing teams with requirement clarifications and UAT coordination.

• Ensure development work aligns with business expectations and project goals.

• Provide status updates to leadership and stakeholders.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in IT/software development environments.

• Strong experience managing or leading software development teams.

• Experience working with offshore teams, especially India-based developers.

• Strong knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodology.

• Proficiency in requirement gathering, analysis, and documentation.

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Experience working with tools such as:

  • JIRA, Confluence

  • MS Visio, Excel, PowerPoint

  • Azure DevOps (preferred)

• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in managing full SDLC lifecycle projects.

• Strong understanding of software development, APIs, integrations, and databases.

• Prior experience in coordinating UAT and production deployments.

• Certification such as CBAP, PMI-PBA, Scrum Master is a plus.
