Network Technologist

We are seeking an experienced Network Technologist to design, deploy, and support complex enterprise network solutions across building, campus, and data center environments. This role involves working closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing network infrastructure aligned with business and technology strategies.

Key Responsibilities

Network Design & Deployment

• Design and implement network solutions across:
  • LAN/MAN/WAN
  • Data Center networks
  • Campus & building networks
  • Wireless (Wi-Fi) environments
• Configure and deploy network hardware across core, distribution, and access layers.
• Support end-to-end lifecycle: design → build → validation → handover.

Governance & Documentation

• Prepare and present technical design documents and Bills of Material (BoM).
• Secure approvals and funding through governance processes.
• Maintain accurate and complete deployment documentation.
• Ensure compliance with enterprise standards and policies.

Operations & Support

• Perform network testing and validation ensuring:
  • Stability and performance
  • Regulatory compliance
  • Closure of audit findings
• Manage incidents, troubleshoot issues, and perform root cause analysis.
• Provide knowledge transfer to operations/support teams.
• Follow strict change management processes.

Automation & Optimization

• Implement automation using:
  • Python
  • Ansible
  • GitLab
• Improve operational efficiency by reducing manual tasks.
• Ensure network scalability, availability, and performance.

Collaboration & Delivery

• Work with architects, product managers, and engineering teams.
• Manage multiple workstreams and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Deliver projects within agreed timelines and SLAs.

Required Technical Skills

Networking & Infrastructure

• Strong experience in:
  • Cisco Routing & Switching
  • LAN / WAN / Data Center networking
  • Wireless networking (Wi-Fi)
• Knowledge of routing protocols:
  • TCP/IP
  • BGP
  • OSPF
  • EIGRP

Technologies & Tools

• Cisco (ACI, NX-OS, ASR, CSR, EVPN, NDFC)
• Arista Networking
• Fortinet (FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer)
• Cisco Firepower / ASA
• F5 Load Balancers (LTM, GTM, iRules, TLS)
• Automation tools: Python, Ansible, GitLab
