Digital Marketing Content Specialist for a
Contract role with one of our premier
Healthcare clients in
Dallas, TX. Responsibilities : Serves as a key member of the North Texas Alzheimer's Disease Research Center (ADRC) team and reports to the Principal Investigator. Leads the development, management and ongoing maintenance of the ADRC website by collaborating with subject matter experts (SMEs) and stakeholders to gather, write, edit and publish user-focused digital content. Works within a content management system (CMS) to edit, code and manage content and page layouts for the ADRC website.
- Serves as the primary digital communications specialist for the ADRC.
- Attends relevant meetings and collaborates with SMEs to gather information and create clear, audience-focused digital content for the ADRC website.
- Manages project timelines and deliverables, coordinating with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to ensure web projects are completed on schedule. Ability to determines phased approaches to web projects by evaluating content readiness, priorities, and audience needs
- Applies a strong understanding of web and information architecture to structure content logically, support user needs and ensure scalability and long-term maintainability of the ADRC website.
- Builds, updates and maintains website content, including text, images and multimedia assets.
- Performs routine website maintenance, including updating content and assets, fixing broken links and ensuring accessibility compliance.
- Works closely with stakeholders to ensure all digital content meets editorial standards, follows UX/UI best practices and aligns with the Institutional Style Guide.
- Coordinates content review and approval workflows with multiple stakeholders, including the Principal Investigator (content accuracy and messaging), Digital team (website structure, content organization, and information architecture), and the Department of Neurology (integration and linking to relevant neurology-related web content, as appropriate).
- Collaborates with internal web editors, developers, marketing managers to ensure content is properly structured, tagged with appropriate metadata, and housed within the CMS.
- Coordinates with design and video teams to ensure visual and multimedia assets are properly managed and stored in centralized platforms (e.g., Localist, Vimeo, Digital Asset Manager).
- Partners with Communications, Marketing, Digital and Social teams within CMPA to support, extend, and amplify marketing and communications initiatives online.
- Stays current on trends and best practices in digital storytelling, web design, usability, accessibility and information architecture.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor's degree f(BA or BS) required.
- Minimum of four (4) years of experience in journalism, digital communications or a related field. Demonstrated strong writing, editing and editorial judgment skills is a must.
- Minimum two (2) years maintaining and publishing content within a content management system for distributed audiences.
- Strong working knowledge of HTML and user experience principles, including audience-centered content strategy, plain language, and content chunking.
Preferred Skills:
- Health care reporting is preferred.
- Knowledge of best practices in user-centered information architecture is preferred.
- Experience with search engine optimization (SEO) and search engine marketing (SEM) is a plus
