Location Middletown, NJ

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in a Systems Engineering or Network Domain
• Proven Layer 2/3/4 expertise, including hands-on experience with:
• Layer 2: Ethernet switching, VLANs, spanning tree protocols, MAC addressing, ARP, QinQ
• Layer 3: IP routing (static & dynamic), OSPF, BGP, IS-IS, MPLS, VRF, multicast
• Layer 4: TCP/UDP fundamentals, NAT, firewalling concepts, load balancing, session persistence
• Prior experience writing technical requirements - including functional, non-functional, interface, and system-level requirements with full traceability.
• Familiarity with TMF standards and frameworks, including but not limited to:
• TMF Open APls (TMF620, TMF641, TMF645, etc.)
• SID (Shared Information/Data Model)
• eTOM (Enhanced Telecom Operations Map)
• ODA (Open Digital Architecture)

Skills

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to decompose complex systems into well-defined components and requirements.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Proficiency in requirements management tools (e.g., DOORS, Jama, Jira, Confluence, or equivalent).
  Understanding of network protocols analysis tools (Wireshark, tcpdump, etc.).
• Familiarity with Agile and/or V-Model development lifecycles.
