Position Summary
- The AV Technician is responsible for providing technical support, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of audio-visual (AV) systems across airport facilities.
- This role ensures the reliable operation of conference room technology, digital signage, public address (PA) systems, and display solutions to support daily airport operations and business functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain audio-visual equipment in conference rooms, meeting spaces, terminals, and operational areas.
- Support and maintain digital signage, public address (PA), paging, and display systems to ensure continuous availability.
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to audio, video, displays, control systems, connectivity, and network
- integration.
Perform preventive maintenance and system health checks to minimize downtime. - Coordinate with external vendors and service providers for equipment maintenance, repairs, upgrades, and new installations.
- Monitor AV system performance and maintain accurate documentation of incidents, maintenance activities, and asset inventories.
- Assist with AV setup and technical support for meetings, presentations, events, and operational communications.
- Ensure all AV systems comply with airport security policies, operational standards, and safety requirements.
- Collaborate with IT, Facilities, and Operations teams to support integrated technology solutions.
- Participate in after-hours or emergency support when required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, Diploma, or equivalent certification in Electronics, Information Technology, Audio Visual Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience supporting audio-visual systems in large-scale, enterprise, public, or airport environments.
- Experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting AV hardware and software.
- Familiarity with AV control platforms such as Crestron, Extron, AMX, or similar systems.
- Strong understanding of digital signage, conferencing systems, microphones, displays, projectors, and paging systems.
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals related to AV systems, including IP-based audio/video distribution.
- Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills.
- Ability to work in secure facilities and support critical operational environments.
