Summary

Role Overview

You will lead large-scale enterprise IT projects through the complete Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), managing cross-functional teams, vendors, business stakeholders, and executive leadership while delivering strategic technology initiatives for New York State.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead enterprise IT projects from initiation through deployment and project closeout.
  • Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, risks, issues, communications, and governance.
  • Drive Electronic Health Record (EHR) implementation and modernisation initiatives.
  • Coordinate business, infrastructure, architecture, application, and vendor teams.
  • Facilitate executive steering committee meetings and project status reporting.
  • Work with Business Analysts to gather, validate, and prioritize business requirements.
  • Oversee testing, UAT, production implementation, and transition activities.
  • Manage enterprise API integrations and system interoperability.
  • Support cloud-based initiatives involving AWS and Google Cloud technologies.
  • Ensure compliance with New York State project governance standards.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor''s Degree in IT, Computer Science, Business, or related field.
  • PMP Certification (Mandatory).
  • 7+ years of Enterprise IT Project Management experience.
  • Experience managing SDLC projects using Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid methodologies.
  • Strong experience with project planning, budgeting, risk management, and stakeholder communication.
  • 5+ years working with enterprise Architecture and Infrastructure teams.
  • 4+ years leading projects involving executive-level stakeholders within State Government organizations.
  • 3+ years managing AI-related technology initiatives involving AWS and Google Cloud.
  • 3+ years managing API integrations and system-to-system interfaces.
  • 2+ years facilitating business requirements gathering workshops.
  • Experience coordinating vendors and enterprise technical teams.
  • Experience working with executive leadership.
  • Experience managing API integration and enterprise modernization projects.
  • AI initiative management experience involving AWS and Google Cloud.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • New York State, State Government, or Federal Government project experience.
  • Electronic Health Record (EHR) implementation experience.
  • Healthcare or Public Sector IT projects.
  • Cloud migration and enterprise integration projects.
