Technical Product Owner / Senior Business Systems Analyst with deep experience in Agile delivery, systems analysis, and healthcare technology. This role blends strong product ownership capabilities with hands-on business systems analysis expertise to drive successful delivery.
The ideal candidate is highly collaborative, technically astute, data-driven, and experienced in translating complex business requirements into scalable technical solutions. This individual will serve as the bridge between business stakeholders, product leadership, engineering teams, QA, and architecture teams while managing product backlogs, refining user stories, and supporting end-to-end software delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Product Ownership & Agile Delivery
•Defines system features and participates in validation.
•Responsible for the scope of work within PBM, following client''''''''s Agile processes.
•Works through vision & roadmap the Agile Release Train (ART).
•Must be aware of other work being completed within the Portfolio so that they can help teams proactively manage risks and dependencies.
•The incumbent provides counsel and advice to top management on significant matters, often requiring coordination between organizations.
•Focuses on providing thought leadership and technical expertise across multiple disciplines.
•Recognized internally as the go-to person for the most complex assignments.
•Own and manage the product backlog, including prioritization, sprint planning, refinement, and release planning.
•Detail epics, features, and user stories with clear acceptance criteria and business value alignment.
•Define sprint goals and collaborate with Scrum teams to ensure timely and high-quality delivery.
•Break down business solutions into user experiences, technical capabilities, workflows, and development-ready stories.
•Partner closely with Scrum Masters and engineering teams to drive Agile best practices and continuous improvement.
•Facilitate backlog grooming, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and stakeholder demos.
Business Systems Analysis & Requirements Gathering
•Work directly with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, document, and validate business and system requirements.
•Conduct gap analysis, process mapping, workflow analysis, and systems analysis activities.
•Translate business and product requirements into detailed technical requirements.
•Create functional specifications, data mapping documentation, integration requirements, and process flows.
•Analyze complex business problems and propose scalable technical solutions.
•Support UAT planning, test case validation, and defect triage activities.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, Healthcare Informatics, or related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience as a Technical Product Owner, Business Systems Analyst, Technical Business Analyst, or similar role.
• Strong experience working in Agile/Scrum software development environments.
• Proven expertise with Jira, Confluence, backlog management, sprint planning, and Agile delivery methodologies.
• Demonstrated experience gathering and documenting business and technical requirements.
• Strong systems analysis, data analysis, and problem-solving skills.
