Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior ETL Developer / Data Warehouse Architect with strong expertise in IBM DataStage, IBM Cloud Pak for Data (CP4D), and Teradata 20. The ideal candidate will support enterprise data modernization initiatives, including migration of legacy workloads to CP4D, development of robust ETL pipelines, and data quality, governance, and integration initiatives.

The role requires advanced ETL engineering skills, strong analytical capabilities, and the ability to work effectively within complex enterprise data environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, build, enhance, and optimize ETL pipelines using IBM DataStage, including parallel/server jobs, job sequencing, and performance tuning.

Support migration of DataStage workloads from on-premises environments to IBM Cloud Pak for Data (CP4D), including refactoring, modernization, testing, and validation.

Develop and optimize complex SQL and BTEQ scripts for Teradata 20 to support large-scale data integration and analytics workloads.

Create automation scripts using Python, Shell scripting, and XML for ETL workflows and data processing.

Apply Master Data Management (MDM), data quality, and data governance principles to ensure consistency, accuracy, and reliability across systems.

Collaborate with data architects, DBAs, analysts, business owners, and technical teams to align deliverables with program objectives.

Perform troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and remediation of ETL pipeline issues.

Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, documentation, testing, and continuous improvement activities.

Translate business and technical requirements into scalable ETL and data integration solutions.

Support large and complex enterprise data environments involving multiple data sources.

Required Skills:

3+ year of hands-on experience with IBM Cloud Pak for Data (CP4D).

5+ years of experience with Teradata 20, including SQL/BTEQ, performance optimization, and large enterprise datasets.

5+ years of Unix/Linux scripting and system operations experience.

3+ years of advanced SQL experience for data analysis and ETL support.

Preferred / Desired Skills:

5+ years of experience developing ETL solutions using IBM DataStage.

Strong experience with Python for automation.

Knowledge of MDM, data quality, and data governance methodologies.

Experience working in large, complex enterprise data environments.

Knowledge of IBM Knowledge Catalog, including metadata, lineage, and governance.

Exposure to IBM Manta for data lineage and impact analysis.

Familiarity with cloud-native platforms such as OpenShift and Kubernetes.

Experience with CI/CD pipelines, version control, and Agile methodologies.

Experience in public health, healthcare, state government, or other public-sector environments is highly desirable.

Prior experience supporting State of Michigan projects is a plus.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.

Work Location : 

Lansing, Michigan – Hybrid
