Backend Software Engineer, Video (TV Plus)
Position Summary
The backend engineering will work on the NASBE TV+ team coding and deploying on our existing AWS backend for the TV+ video service as well as other upcoming media streaming services.

Proficient with multiple server technologies Spring Boot, NodeJs, AWS Serverless.
Role and Responsibilities
Job Responsibilities
Implement back-end architecture components, tasks, and services to support TV+ server side ad insertion, linearization, ad markers, etc.
Conduct engineering activities, projects, research and/or operational tests in conformance to functional specifications, design requirements, operational capacities and customer performance expectations.
Debug Production issues raised by customers and customer support teams, isolate the cause and work towards a fix.
Participate in meetings with other staff members to evaluate, plan, and troubleshoot; and to ensure proper interface between software, systems and operational performance.
Exercise judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
Algorithm development, back-end automation, problem solving and scalability architecture
Skills and Qualifications
Job Experience and Knowledge
10 years of software development experience in a large scale Production environment
Bachelors/Master's Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
Ability to solve problems in a fast paced and dynamic environment with focus on maintaining high quality and standards.
Proficient with AWS, Git, Docker, Kubernetes is MUST.
Proficient with working with Python, React, Angular, Express, Bootstrap, Mongo, DynamoDB, Node.JS, HTML5, CSS etc.
Proficient with multiple server technologies Spring Boot, NodeJs, AWS Serverless.
Experience with Java and C/C++ Able to communicate in writing, through email and reports, or orally complex technical matters to an audience of equal or higher level technical competency.
Strong understanding of security compliance
Strong understanding of data structures and algorithms.
Ability to deliver and accept feedback on code and design
Strong experience working in a Unix system.
Strong ability to debug unfamiliar distributed architectures and isolate problems
Experience in writing tests for the code written
Experience in Continuous integration preferred
