Infrastructure Engineer (High-Performance Systems)
About the Role
We are building a next-generation, institutional-grade liquidity and margin management platform. By leveraging decentralized ledger technology under the hood, we allow clients to cross-collateralize assets seamlessly and deploy capital across premium external trading venues without needing to liquidate their core positions.
As a core member of our Infrastructure & Platform team, you will design, scale, and optimize low-latency compute, storage, and networking layers. You will bridge the gap between complex backend data structures and real-time execution, ensuring our systems remain resilient under immense market throughput.
Key Responsibilities
Low-Latency Scripting: Develop high-performance scripts and system services optimized for demanding, real-time financial environments.
Resource Management: Deploy, orchestrate, and manage bare-metal/VM compute resources and containerized services for custom integrations.
Scalability & Load Balancing: Automate elastic scaling, intelligent load balancing, and traffic congestion control across compute and distributed database layers.
CI/CD Pipeline Engineering: Architect robust continuous integration and deployment pipelines to support rapid, zero-downtime rollbacks and continuous delivery.
Performance Tuning: Monitor and profile system performance across CPU, memory, I/O, and network stacks to maximize throughput and eliminate bottlenecks.
Data Indexing: Build high-speed indexing systems and custom data pipelines to power live, expressive telemetry and user-facing dashboards.
Database Optimization: Provision, maintain, and optimize a diverse database ecosystem, including time-series, relational SQL, key-value, and in-memory caches.
Requirements
Experience: 3+ years of experience engineering production-grade infrastructure in cloud (AWS/Google Cloud Platform) or hybrid on-prem environments.
Languages: Strong system-level programming skills, with a heavy emphasis on Rust or similar low-level languages.
Containerization & Compute: Deep expertise managing raw compute instances directly (e.g., EC2) alongside container orchestration frameworks (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
Networking Fundamentals: Solid understanding of VPC architecture, subnets, load balancers, NAT gateways, VPNs, and rigorous network security practices.
DevOps / IaC: Familiarity with modern CI/CD tooling (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins) and Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform).
Data Architecture: Proven track record working with time-series databases (e.g., TimescaleDB, InfluxDB) and distributed key-value stores (e.g., Redis, DynamoDB).
System Profiling: Experience profiling Linux kernel/system-level performance under high-load, concurrent traffic conditions.
Compliance: Must be authorized to work in the United States.
Compensation & Benefits
Base Salary: $185,000 - $250,000 base annual salary (DOE).
Equity: Competitive early-stage company equity package.
Healthcare: Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance with HSA options.
PTO: Flexible/Paid vacation and recognized holidays.
Retirement: 401(k) plan with a competitive employer match program.
