We are seeking a Senior GEP AI Consultant with advanced expertise in developing, training, and deploying LLMs, AI agents, and intelligent workflows on the GEP AI platform. This role blends procurement domain knowledge, AI solution architecture, and hands on agent design, supporting customers in transforming their sourcing and procurement processes through next generation AI.
The ideal candidate has extensive experience with GEP's procurement ecosystem, understands how to leverage GEP AI frameworks, and has the capability to design intelligent, autonomous, and procurement aligned agents that drive efficiency, reduce cycle time, and elevate user decision making.
This is a senior, client facing consulting role requiring strong communication, solution leadership, and the ability to translate business requirements into scalable AI outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
AI & LLM Architecture
- Design, develop, and deploy LLM powered solutions and autonomous agents within the GEP AI ecosystem.
- Build custom models leveraging procurement specific data, taxonomies, and workflows.
- Optimize models for classification, summarization, negotiation support, anomaly detection, and supplier insights.
GEP Platform Expertise
- Leverage deep knowledge of GEP SMART, GEP NEXXE, and GEP AI to integrate AI agents into sourcing, contracting, supplier management, spend analytics, and procurement operations.
- Configure domain specific ontologies, data pipelines, and platform logic to support LLM/agent capabilities.
- Ensure solutions align with platform best practices, compliance rules, and enterprise architecture.
Client Advisory & Strategic Consulting
- Work directly with business stakeholders (Procurement, Finance, Supply Chain, IT) to identify AI opportunities and map them to GEP AI capabilities.
- Lead workshops, requirements sessions, and AI enablement training for business and technical teams.
- Advise on procurement transformation strategy through automation, intelligent recommendations, and AI driven decision support.
AI Agent Development & Optimization
- Design agents for tasks such as:
- Autonomous sourcing event creation
- Contract risk summarization
- Supplier scorecarding and insights
- Predictive demand or pricing intelligence
- Workflow automation and approvals
- Implement reinforcement strategies, guardrails, and evaluation metrics for safe and reliable agent performance.
Cross Functional Leadership
- Partner with data engineers, platform administrators, and integration teams to enable smooth deployments.
- Provide oversight during implementation phases and ensure high quality delivery.
- Communicate complex AI concepts clearly to non technical audiences.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in Procurement Technology, AI, or Enterprise SaaS Consulting.
- 3+ years hands on experience with GEP platforms (GEP SMART, NEXXE, or GEP AI).
- Proven ability to build, train, fine tune, and evaluate LLMs and AI agents.
- Strong experience in Python, prompt engineering, data modeling, and AI architecture.
- Deep understanding of procurement processes (S2P, P2P, Sourcing, Supplier Management, Spend Analytics).
- Strong executive facing communication and client consulting skills.
- Ability to translate business requirements into scalable AI driven procurement solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience deploying AI agents in complex enterprise environments.
- Knowledge of procurement compliance, supplier risk scoring, and workflow automation.
- Background in management consulting or advisory (e.g., BCG, Accenture, Deloitte).
- Familiarity with integration tools (API, middleware, data orchestration).
