Essential Functions- Design, develop, test, and support AML/KYC applications using Java/J2EE technologies.
- Experience building and consuming REST APIs.
- Collaborate with business partners to understand use cases, gather requirements, and translate needs into technical solutions.
- Develop and support solutions across Google Cloud Platform environments.
- Monitor application performance, reliability, and availability while troubleshooting production issues.
- Independently develops clean, maintainable, testable code for work assigned; performs peer code reviews.
- Participates in the overall health, performance, and availability and actively works resolution of system and client experience impacts for one or more environments, applications, or platforms.
- Embraces mentorship and training from senior engineers.
- Provides continuous improvement ideas to reduce expenses and/or improve efficiency.
- Applies recommended information security standards when developing code and seeks to validate.
- Assesses the technical viability of new and emerging products and technologies.
- Sound technical skills, ability to troubleshoot application and infrastructure issues and bring resolution to these issues in a timely manner.
- Monitor applications for vulnerabilities and take appropriate action to mitigate risk of these vulnerabilities to Key.
- Provide On-Call production support as part of a rotation
- Contributes to technical documentation, specifications, and project artifacts for developing code.
- Identifies potential standards and best practices.
- Performs other duties as assigned; duties, responsibilities and/or activities may change or new ones may be assigned at any time with or without notice
- Complies with all KeyBank policies and procedures, including without limitation, acting professionally at all times, conducting business ethically, avoiding conflicts of interest, and acting in the best interests of Key's clients and Key.
Education- Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
- OR equivalent experience (required)
Work Experience- 3+ years of relevant experience (required)
Skills- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field; or equivalent professional experience.
- Experience (3+ years) with Java Enterprise Edition, Spring Frameworks
- Experience with React, Node.js, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
- 3+ years of software engineering or application development experience.
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform.
- Experience building and consuming REST APIs.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact directly with business stakeholders.
- Experience supporting applications in production environments.
- Working knowledge of software reliability management; ability to develop and use principles, methodologies and metrics that increase software product performance and reliability.
- Ability to work with internal support teams, software vendor support teams, participate in projects, and work individually to accomplish tasks.
Preferred Qualifications:Experience with Dynatrace or other monitoring tools
Exposure to financial domain would be preferred
Experience with Anti Money Laundering applications is highly preferred
Experience with troubleshooting sessions including multiple teams
A willingness to learn new technologies.
Work Location CategoryCOMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $71,000.00 - $125,000.00 annually. Placement within the pay range may differ based upon various factors, including but not limited to skills, experience and geographic location. Compensation for this role also includes eligibility for incentive compensation which may include production, commission, and/or discretionary incentives.
