The Administrative Associate, Performing Arts position reports to the Performing Arts Department Chair and will serve as the initial point of contact for the Department of Performing Arts. This position will assist and support faculty, staff, and students with administrative and logistical matters pertaining to the department and coordinate departmental events, course registration, and advising materials. This is an important role that requires accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate well with others.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES- Organize and oversee pre-registration and registration, preparing materials, assisting with course scheduling, and serving as a point of contact for any issues that arise.
- Assist with organizing and coordinating department events, serving as the departmental contact for space requests and catering.
- Oversee forms and data collection.
- Make travel arrangements for the Chairs, potential hires, and guests, submitting related expense reports.
- Coordinates the logistics for faculty searches.
- Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS - Qualifications are deemed required or preferred and represent what is needed to effectively perform the job.
- Bachelor's Degree required
- 2-3 years of experience working in an office environment required. Experience working in the theatre industry preferred
- Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail required

- Proficiency in using computer software and the ability to learn new software easily
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to follow through on tasks and requests

- Self-starter with excellent interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills

Compensation: $20.65 - $24.25 , commensurate with experience.
