Summary

We are seeking a Senior ServiceNow Developer to lead the design, development, and enhancement of enterprise-scale ServiceNow solutions. This role will drive platform strategy, modernize custom applications, and integrate multiple systems across the organization. The ideal candidate is a hands-on technical leader with deep ServiceNow expertise, strong integration experience, and a proven ability to translate business needs into scalable, high-impact solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and enhance custom ServiceNow applications, including complex, integrated enterprise solutions.
  • Lead development cycles as an individual contributor while guiding overall platform direction and architecture.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements, define scope, estimate effort, and translate needs into technical solutions and user stories.
  • Build and optimize integrations across multiple systems using REST/SOAP APIs and OAuth.
  • Enhance and extend ITSM capabilities while improving workflows and process automation.
  • Manage and prioritize a large defect backlog in alignment with enterprise priorities.
  • Establish and enforce development standards, best practices, and platform governance.
  • Lead design sessions and collaborate with architects, developers, and vendors to deliver scalable solutions.
  • Develop platform roadmaps and support ongoing upgrades, feature enhancements, and long-term strategy.
  • Create metrics and reporting to measure platform performance, delivery effectiveness, and operational success.
  • Mentor junior developers and administrators while fostering strong cross-functional relationships.

Must-Haves
  • 10+ Years of professional experience developing ServiceNow applications, with additional experience building custom modules.
  • Experience integrating ServiceNow with external systems through a variety of APIs and protocols (REST, SOAP, OAuth, etc.).
  • Expertise with JavaScript and ServiceNow platform scripting.
  • Strong understanding of ITSM modules and enterprise workflow automation.
  • Experience managing large-scale ServiceNow environments and complex implementations.
  • Adept understanding of application architecture, security (ACLs), and best practices.
  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator.
  • ServiceNow Certified Application Developer.

Nice-to-Haves
  • ITIL certification and practical experience applying ITIL frameworks.
  • Experience designing applications for optimized workflows and user experience.
  • Experience managing or reducing large defect backlogs in enterprise systems.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills for executive-level stakeholders.
  • Experience defining platform KPIs and performance metrics.
  • Background in large-scale enterprise environments with multiple integrations and data sources.
