Role Overview
This role involves the application of advanced Industrial Engineering concepts and techniques to promote and implement changes in manufacturing, engineering, and service operations. The position supports the SLS program and requires the development of models and databases to analyze data, providing summary analysis and metrics for consultation. The objective is to enhance schedule performance, lower costs, and improve quality through Lean and other Industrial Engineering principles.
Key Responsibilities
- Apply advanced industrial engineering concepts to product and process design teams throughout the product lifecycle.
- Develop models, databases, and spreadsheets to analyze data using statistics, operations research, and engineering economics.
- Research, design, develop, and implement processes to enhance schedule performance, lower cost, and improve quality.
- Manage the scope, cost, and timing of projects, performing risk analysis using project management tools.
- Utilize advanced engineering methods like mathematical models and simulation for optimal process design and resource utilization.
- Analyze and design the value stream, including capability, capacity, throughput, workflow, and logistics.
Required Qualifications
Education: A degree from an ABET-accredited program is required.
Technical Skills: Experience with MESci, Aurora, and constraints-based scheduling is required.
Work Environment
This is a full-time, on-site position at our client's facility. The standard work schedule is first shift. This position requires the ability to obtain authorization to access export-controlled information in accordance with U.S. export control laws. Post-start screening and badging will be required.
