DevOps / Platform Engineer SME

Position Overview
We are seeking an accomplished DevOps / Platform Engineer SME to join our Engineering organization and lead initiatives across Application Platform Engineering, Developer Experience, CI/CD Automation, and Engineering Enablement.
The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience designing and operating scalable cloud platforms, modernizing CI/CD practices, implementing Infrastructure as Code, and building tools that improve developer productivity and software delivery.
This role will serve as a technical leadership position, driving architectural decisions, establishing engineering standards, mentoring engineers, and partnering closely with Development, SRE, Security, and Infrastructure teams.
Key Responsibilities
<>Platform Engineering & Tooling>
- Design, build, and maintain scalable, secure, and reliable internal developer platforms and engineering tools.
- Architect and implement cloud-native platforms and services that enable self-service development and deployment.
- Evaluate, integrate, and optimize third-party and open-source tools for CI/CD, source control, artifact management, testing, security, and observability.
- Develop automation solutions for cloud infrastructure, application environments, and developer workflows.
- Build reusable platform capabilities, templates, and tooling to improve engineering efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in Software Engineering, DevOps, SRE, Platform Engineering, or related roles.
- Proven experience designing, building, and operating large-scale distributed systems and internal developer platforms.
- Demonstrated experience working in a Staff Engineer, Lead Engineer, or equivalent technical leadership role.
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS and/or Azure.
- Extensive experience with Docker and Kubernetes, including AKS and/or EKS.
- Strong Infrastructure as Code experience using Terraform and/or Ansible.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python, Go, Java, C#, or TypeScript.
- Strong experience with .NET and/or JVM-based ecosystems.
- Extensive experience with CI/CD platforms such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or CircleCI.
- Experience with observability platforms such as Datadog, Honeycomb, Prometheus, or Grafana.
- Experience with developer and engineering tools including GitHub, Artifactory, and SonarQube.
- Understanding of DevSecOps, security automation, vulnerability management, and compliance practices.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to influence technical decisions and drive initiatives without direct authority.
