Job Description

Overview

We are seeking a highly technical Anaplan professional to serve as the primary Anaplan Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the organization. This individual will act as the lead resource for Anaplan architecture, model building, solution design, implementation, and business consulting efforts.

The ideal candidate will be capable of owning the entire Anaplan ecosystem—from gathering requirements and architecting solutions to hands-on model development and implementation support. This is a highly visible role requiring strong technical expertise, business acumen, and the ability to work independently with minimal oversight.

Required Experience

• 2+ years of hands-on Anaplan experience
• Minimum of 3 completed Anaplan implementations (required)
• Experience serving as a lead Anaplan resource, architect, or SME
• Experience designing, building, configuring, and supporting Anaplan models
• Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into scalable technical solutions
• Experience working within Agile/Scrum environments, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and story estimation
• Strong stakeholder engagement and consulting experience

Required Technical Skills

• Anaplan model development and architecture
• Advanced understanding of:
  • Lists
  • Modules
  • Dashboards/UX
  • Workflows
  • Model optimization and performance tuning
• Ability to break business requirements into user stories and development tasks
• Strong experience delivering clean, scalable, and well-tested Anaplan solutions
• Experience mentoring junior model builders and enforcing best practices
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (expert-level proficiency required)
• Experience using Agile tools such as Jira, Anaplan Way, or similar platforms

Required Certification

• Anaplan Certified Model Builder (Required)

Preferred Qualifications

• Anaplan Solution Architect Certification
• Master Anaplanner Certification
• Experience with:
  • PlanIQ
  • Optimizer
  • Financial Planning
  • Sales Planning
  • Supply Chain Planning
