• Strong technical background in API design, integration patterns, middleware, and enterprise data exchange.
• Knowledge of security hardening, identity governance, encryption strategies, and auditability in compliance-driven environments.
• Extensive experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, environment promotion, and DevOps practices.
• Ability to create architecture diagrams, technical design documents, process flows, and well structured operational documentation.
• Strong proficiency with Salesforce license models and platform optimization strategies.
• Excellent communication skills and demonstrated ability to train and mentor technical staff.
• Advanced Salesforce certifications (Platform Developer II, Experience Cloud Consultant, Integration Architect, Identity & Access Management).
• Background in public-sector technology, regulated environments, or statewide system modernizations.
• Experience with observability tools, error monitoring platforms, and secure cloud integration patterns.
• Familiarity with SRE practices, resilience engineering, and performance benchmarking.

• This role ensures the platform remains secure, stable, scalable, and compliant with all technology governance requirements. The developer will lead major technical initiatives, improve integration pipelines, modernize workflows, and build internal technical capacity through structured training and documentation.
• Ideal candidates bring deep handson expertise, architectural thinking, and a proven ability to support missioncritical enterprise systems.

Key Responsibilities

1. Application Support & Maintenance

• Provide expert-level troubleshooting, rootcause analysis, and resolution of platform issues across Salesforce core, Experience Cloud, integrations, and custom components.
• Maintain platform stability by monitoring jobs, logs, APIs, errors, governor limits, and overall system performance.
• Develop and maintain operational documentation, runbooks, SOPs, data dictionaries, workflow inventories, and system configurations.
• Conduct proactive maintenance, including refactoring, technical debt reduction, performance tuning, and remediation of security findings.

2. Development, Enhancements & Modernization

• Architect, design, and implement new features using Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flows, permission models, and data structures.
• Lead code reviews, enforce secure coding standards, and ensure high test coverage and adherence to best practices.
• Own and manage multienvironment release cycles (Dev, QA, UAT, Staging, Prod) using CI/CD pipelines and version control.
• Translate complex business requirements into scalable, maintainable, and compliant technical solutions.

3. Integration & Interoperability

• Design, support, and optimize API-based integrations, including MuleSoft or similar middleware frameworks.
• Ensure reliable and secure data exchange between Salesforce and external systems involved in reporting, surveillance, analytics, and operational workflows.
• Monitor API health, throughput, rate limits, and error handling; implement resilience patterns such as retries, queueing, and payload optimization.
• Maintain integration mapping documentation, interface specifications, and versioning strategies.

4. Security, Compliance & Governance

• Ensure all work adheres to cybersecurity, identity governance, and secure SDLC requirements.
• Implement and maintain platform-level security controls including Field Audit Trail, Event Monitoring, Platform Encryption, MFA, least privilege access, and audits.
• Support vulnerability remediation, conduct impact assessments, and participate in architectural reviews.
• Maintain compliance in all aspects of environment management, data access, logging, encryption, and change control.

5. EnterpriseScale Operations

• Manage sandbox strategy, refresh cadence, and environment alignment across the development lifecycle.
• Implement advanced monitoring, alerting, observability dashboards, and performance analytics.
• Support platform continuity through backup/restore strategies, DR planning, and failover procedure validation.
• Conduct periodic platform health reviews and provide recommendations for stability, scalability, and longterm optimization.

6. Training, Knowledge Transfer & Internal Capacity Building

• Develop structured training programs for internal teams covering administration, configuration, development, and troubleshooting.
• Create durable documentation including architecture diagrams, workflow maps, deployment guides, operational procedures, and technical standards.
• Mentor internal staff to ensure sustainable long-term support and enhance overall organizational Salesforce capability.
• Facilitate postimplementation ownership transition and ensure internal teams can independently manage ongoing enhancements.

7. Licensing & Platform Strategy

• Maintain expert-level understanding of Salesforce license structures, including core licenses, Experience Cloud, API usage entitlements, feature tiers, and cost impacts.
• Map license assignments to required roles and propose adjustments to optimize cost and functionality.
• Forecast license needs for user growth, newmodules, and future integrations.
