JOB SUMMARY

Primary Purpose of Position

Widescope Consulting is proud to serve our nation s military and Veterans by supporting federal agencies in their mission to improve the U.S. health care system. Positions in this family are responsible for the coordination and completion of projects across various functional areas. Typically, incumbents matched to this function are working towards or have achieved certification in project management or have accredited Six Sigma Training.

He/She will be responsible for the coordination and completion of projects across various functional areas. Typically, employees in this function are working towards or have achieved certification in project management. Provides subject matter expertise in areas including project scope definition, risk identification, project methodology, resource allocation, facilitation, and other areas of expertise based on established project management techniques. Makes presentations to management on project updates, project cycle, and expected results. Ensures projects are completed on time and in scope. May manage vendor and service providers to define project scope and performance expectations. Incumbents may be part of a project management office (PMO) in their business.

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience leveraging AI tools in the software development (or product) lifecycle in order to improve quality and efficiency
  • 5+ years of demonstrated Project Management experience
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities and the ability to effectively influence people and build strong relationships, in order to accomplish the project goals.
  • Advanced project management abilities in the execution of the 5 stages of project management:  Initiation, Planning Execution, Monitor and Control, Closeout. Be able to articulate this ability with relevant work experience.
  • Demonstrated facilitation and project management experience for complex technical projects or programs.
  • Experience with development and reporting of project costs, and project financial analysis.
  • Microsoft Office Suite skills, including Microsoft Project, Visio and Access

    Candidates must have:
    • 3+ years of Leadership experience
    • Strong time-management skills
    • Good organization skills and the ability to balance projects of varying complexity simultaneously
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Have the ability to facilitate and negotiate consensus around project and/or product goals
    • Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to present, persuade and provide professional presentations to both internal and external Customers.


Preferred Skills/Tools:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Software, Business, Engineering or related discipline with an emphasis in Project Management. Equivalent combination of education, experience and/or applicable military experience will be considered.
  • Experience with large scale technology implementation projects including custom software development and/or third party software integrations.
  • Project Management experience within Agile Scrum
  • National Career Readiness Certificate
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • Military or Government contract project experience

Experience working with state or federal government clients, including the bidding and
implementation process
