IT Technician

Healthcare IT Leaders is seeking an IT Technician for a 6 month Staff Aug opportunity. This is a Hybrid opening, based out of Norwalk, CT area.

Responsibilities:

• Install and de-install network devices and cable management systems
• Install and rack servers, including adding memory, hard drives, network interface cards, and CPUs
• Install KVM and in-rack PDU equipment
• Operate within a large-scale IBM Z10 mainframe environment, including IPL, TSO, MVS, JES2, and CA7
• Manage tickets, asset management, and inventory in ServiceNow
• Back up daily and monthly tapes for offsite storage
• Support 24/7 data center operations, working varying shifts that include weekends

Requirements:

• 100% onsite in Connecticut, with flexibility for varying shifts, including weekends
• Five years of progressive, responsible experience in data processing, computer systems, and applications (Operations specialty requires five years of supervisory experience)
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Business Administration, Economics/Statistics, Telecommunications, Data Communications, or a related field, or a satisfactory equivalent combination of training, education, and experience
• Familiarity with IBM Z10 mainframe environments and related equipment (IBM 4000, IBM 6500, Canon VS 4400)
• Experience with the ServiceNow ticketing system
• Knowledge of Microsoft operating systems and Microsoft Office
