Job Title: Processing Operator

Job Location: Sturgis, MI

Job Type: Contract

Job Overview:

Responsibilities:

Prepare, operate, monitor, and document computer-controlled blending processes.
Weigh, document, and stage batch ingredients using computerized weighing systems.
Operate and monitor Clean-in-Place (CIP) systems for manufacturing equipment such as tanks and heat treatment systems.
Perform product line operations including standardization and final water processes using ingredients, flavors, and oils.
Maintain GMP compliance through routine cleaning, sanitation, and preventive maintenance of equipment and work areas.
Follow batch work orders and job procedures while maintaining accurate and complete documentation.
Receive and transport bulk raw materials and CIP chemicals safely.
Prepare, operate, and monitor bulk slurry production for blending operations.
Manage and document computer-controlled heat treatment processes.
Support additional production and operational duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Strong written, verbal, and basic computer skills.
Mechanical aptitude and ability to operate production equipment.
Ability to work safely in a team-oriented environment.
Strong multitasking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Some college or vocational training in a related field.
Prior experience in food manufacturing or batch processing environments.
Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and automated systems.
